Defined as a ‘seminar conducted over the internet’, a webinar can either be a live or pre-recorded web-based video that uses the web to connect the host of the webinar with viewers and listeners from across the globe. The host(s) of a webinar can showcase themselves talking, or switch to presentations, demonstrations or other video footage whilst answering any questions the viewers/listeners may have.
How do I register for a webinar?
Firstly, choose which webinar you would like to view and participate in from our selection of webinars. Select the webinar of your choosing and click ‘Register’. You will then be asked to fill out your first name, last name and email address. You will also be asked to create a password. Simply then return on the day the webinar is due to start and log in. You will then be able to view the webinar and participate in the live Q&A.
How do I participate in the live Q&A?
The live Q&A with the host of the webinar will only be open when the webinar begins. Once you have logged in, you will be directed to the live webinar and there you will see a chat box on the page. This is an open chat where numerous users can post questions about the webinar itself. Simply type in your question and press Enter. Your comment will then appear in the live Q&A box, and the host will then try to address as many questions as possible.
What type of questions should I ask in the webinar?
This is up to you, however we suggest keeping on topic with the webinar itself, and most importantly, be polite! We highly recommend asking questions about the topic of the webinar, or questions about the organisation hosting the webinar. Please note that we do not under any circumstances tolerate aggressive language/behaviour, be it violent or abusive, and may result in you being removed from the webinar and our database.
I missed the webinar. How can I rewatch it?
We keep all of our webinars on the site available for visitors to view whenever it suits them. You can find our previous webinars by filtering them by ‘Previous webinars’. This will then show all of the webinars that have taken place in the past. Simply then select the webinar you would like to rewatch. Please note that the Q&A function on previous webinars is not available.
