The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites you to the International Careers in Security Policy for Dutch Nationals event on November 12th between 14.00 and 16.00 hrs (CET). This online event will focus on international careers in security policy, offering valuable insights and opportunities for those interested in advancing in this dynamic field.
During this event, aimed at young professionals (maximum 7 years work experience) and students in their final study phase, you can engage directly with recruiters from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the European Defense Agency, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA). They have exciting job opportunities worldwide and are looking to engage with Dutch Nationals.

Bureau NCIF (Nationaal Coördinator Internationale Functies) is onderdeel van het ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken. Het bureau zet zich in om de carrièrekansen van Nederlanders bij internationale organisaties als de NAVO, VN, Europese Unie en OVSE te vergroten en meer Nederlanders bij deze organisaties geplaatst te krijgen. Dit doen we bijvoorbeeld door middel van voorlichting, gerichte werving, training, persoonlijke begeleiding en lobbyactiviteiten.
Met dit online carrière-event wil Bureau NCIF Nederlandse young professionals en studenten direct in contact brengen met internationale organisaties die zich inzetten voor een veilige en stabiele wereld. Het event biedt een kans om een eerste indruk te krijgen van werken bij de deelnemende internationale instellingen, of juist om in gesprek te gaan over de vereisten voor specifieke openstaande vacatures.

This event will be conducted in English.
To join the event you must:
- Be a Dutch national.
- Be fluent in English (Oral and Written).
- Be a student or a professional with up to 7 years of work experience.
- Have an interest and skillset in one of the following areas: Audit, Business/Corporate Law, Compliance, Cyber Security, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Information Security, Information Technology, International Development, International related studies, International Security, Law, Policy or Political Science.

The Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) plays a central role in United Nations efforts to prevent deadly conflict and build sustainable peace around the world.
DPPA monitors and assesses global political developments with an eye to detecting potential crises and devising effective responses. The Department provides support to the Secretary-General and his envoys in their peace initiatives, as well as to UN political missions around the world.
