Founded in 1983 by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a specialized agency of the United Nations, WMU is a center of excellence for maritime post-graduate education and research. Based in Sweden (with additional MSc courses available also in China) it attracts people from around the planet to share their knowledge and expertise and is helping to raise standards and safety for all those working on or around the sea.
They employ a wide range of people, and especially specialists in academic and teaching roles.
