We deliver a wide range of humanitarian and development programmes. Our staff is drawn from many backgrounds and professions.
Our immediate priority in a disaster situation is to sustain life. This usually involves distributing food, water and shelter materials, and establishing healthcare and sanitation facilities.
We build and equip health centres, train local health staff, and deliver vaccination and malnutrition programmes. We also train local communities in health awareness and hygiene promotion.
Child protection is an integral part of all GOAL programmes. In addition, we deliver programmes specifically designed for children and young people such as those in Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Kenya and India.
We help people develop the skills to provide for themselves and their families. Included amongst our livelihood programmes are employment opportunities, entrepreneurship, business start-up, and agricultural development.
